Joy has left the building! She set off for Cambridge this afternoon with her new family, and will be company for another young tonkinese girl. We’re always so proud of our kittens heading out into the world, but it doesn’t get any easier to say goodbye! Agatha has done a sterling job looking after Joy – she’s regressed to her kitten-hood and been Joy’s best friend since Sophie and Rollie left last weekend. We loved having Joy’s company for an extra week – this morning we woke up to find her snuggled up in bed with us.
We’ve had updates and some pictures from the other kittens and their families over the last couple of weeks, and where they’ve met other cats or dogs, introductions have gone smoothly. We’re so pleased that such lovely folks have our kittens as part of their families, and it’s always lovely to hear from everyone.
With the kittens leaving home, and the Tonkinese Breed Club show last weekend, we’ve been super busy. Apparently there was some kind of election this week? We’re starting to put the house back in some kind of order now the kittens have left! Mike’s got another crazy week at work before a couple of weeks break over Christmas, but will be at home this Friday as Saffy is being spayed. She’s had 4 lovely litters since 2015 and it’s time for her to retire from breeding although we’re sure she’ll help Sylvia and Agatha with their kittens. Our plan is to have Agatha mated with Ramintha (or possibly another new Thai boy) sometime in the spring.
We hope you enjoy some of the pictures we’ve been sent!
Best wishes, Mike & Lizzi
