We would rarely pass on any requests like this however with Christmas fast approaching we’d like to ask you to consider helping our local charity – the Sunshine Cat Rescue – who have just launched a campaign to raise £1500 for new cat pens. Those of you who’ve met our gorgeous ginger boy George may remember that he was a “Sunshine” kitten – and from first hand experience we know how much hard work these wonderful people put in to care for cats that need their help. We think this is important enough to share, so we’ve included their message below – thanks for taking a look.
Mike & Lizzi
Dear Sunshine Supporter,
As someone who has very kindly supported Sunshine Cat Rescue in the past, I wanted to write to you personally to tell you about our campaign to raise £1500 for new cat pens and to ask for your help.
Our foster carers are currently looking after 18 adult cats and 44 kittens. Sadly more stray and abandoned cats are arriving all the time and we are running out of space. We hate having to turn any cat away, particularly with colder weather approaching, but unless we can buy more pens we won’t have a choice. We are working with WildCrowd, a not-for-profit fundraising website that only supports animal welfare and conservation charities, to run our first crowdfunding campaign. You can read more about it and make a donation, using a credit card or a Paypal account, by clicking on the link below.
We are a small charity run entirely by volunteers and any donation, however small, would be enormously appreciated. Crowdfunding campaigns rely on reaching as many people as possible, so even if you aren’t able to donate, we’d be very grateful if you share our campaign with any cat loving friends and family. You can use the social media buttons on our campaign page to share on Facebook or Twitter.
Thank you so much, Lou Tyack (Founder)
P.S When you make a donation you can choose a little something as a thank you from WildCrowd – all contributed by small ethical companies at no cost to us.”
