Significant news this week – Agatha (our youngest girl who joined us last December) has made firm friends with the kittens and is now another almost constant companion. She’d been rather cautious of them before but almost overnight decided that they were a proper part of the family. She’s now playing with them regularly and is wonderfully gentle and loving. Sylvia’s very happy with that arrangement, and Grandma Saffy approves too.
The kittens had a wonderful weekend with a family friend who came to stay, so they’ve had a lot of extra cuddles in the last couple of days, as well as another human climbing frame to take advantage of. Weaning progresses, with Lottie now just starting to take to her new food, so we’re hoping Corelli with follow in the next few days. Today, the kittens are all the same weight as the previous litter who’d been weaned for about a week, so overall they’re doing very well and Sylvia is still feeding them with ease.
Days are filled with feeding times, playful times and sleeping times generally in that order. They are mostly sleeping through the night so still with us in the bedroom at the moment. Their play is increasingly robust so having Agatha in the mix is perfect – she’s young enough to play like a kitten, but seems to be taking her “big sister” role very seriously too!
