Over this week the kittens have been relishing their new spaces – they now have the run of their kitten room and the conservatory during the day, and are put to bed around 10pm when everyone sleeps together with their mum and big sister Sylvia. We had a lot of visitors on Saturday as we hosted a meeting of the Tonkinese Breed Club Committee who all brought the scent of their own cats! Whilst imperceptible to us of course, this was certainly noticed by our adult cats and met with some slight disapproval! The kittens of course just enjoyed all the attention, which continued on Sunday as a family friend came to visit and was draped in adolescent felines for much of the day to the amusement of all concerned.
Behaviour-wise, the patterns of play and sleep continue – play-times are more robust and extensive, and the sleeping is synchronised and deep. You’ll see a few examples of this in our pictures this week. Despite an excess of comfortable and appropriately sized beds, kittens and adults alike seem to pile into the smallest possible spaces – occasionally leading to a readjustment of the sleeping arrangements when the pile gets too warm or there simply isn’t enough room for more Tonks!
Next weekend another family will come to choose their kitten, after which we will know which pair of kittens are still available. For now we hope you enjoy this week’s pictures!

Best wishes, Mike & Lizzi
